The other day I was taking a moment to reminisce on my journey. It was through that reminiscing that I realized it's been nearly 10 years since I graduate from college.
Ten years?! Already?!
The past ten years have been nothing short of a wild ride with ups, downs, twists and turns.
I have left jobs, lost jobs, managed gyms, owned my own coaching business. I have my own family now, which has been more amazing than I could have imagined.
Through all the ups, downs, twists and turns I know that my God has been there the entire time. Leading me to and through each part of the journey.
Of all the things I have learned and continue to learn there is one lesson which seems to be a reoccurring theme.
From my own experiences to the experiences of the people I have trained and coached I have come to this conclusion.
It is not our physical ability or lack of ability which holds us back when it comes to our health and strength. Or anything in life for that matter. In any of the three areas physical, mental, or spiritual.
Rather, it is a lack of faith which holds us back.
For no matter our level of ability; we must first have the faith to simply say, it is possible or I can do (fill in the blank).
The reality is that we don't truly know what we will be able to do or much we will be able to do right now verses next year.
It is only with faith that we journey forward to figure out our limits and have the ability to extend those limits.
It is our faith which allows us to step out of our comfort zone toward the unknown and unknowable.
It is our faith that allows us to try something new.
It is our faith which allows us to keep moving forward.
And, what more could God ask of you than to take one more step toward Him, toward life, love and joy.
What is it that you need to do or try which you have been hesitating on?
What area of you life has fear been keeping you from pursuing?
I may not know what it is in your life but I know it is possible.
"How?" you ask.
"But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”' Matthew 19:26
