We’ve talked about why strength is important.
BUT, Surrendering Strength, what does that even mean?
Well, we could break it down and look at each word separately but what good would that do us? Because we aren’t talking simply about surrendering (defined: cease resistance to an enemy or opponent and submit to their authority.)
And, we aren’t talk about strength alone (defined: 1. the quality or state of being strong, in particular. 2. a good or beneficial quality or attribute of a person or thing.) (Definition are from a simple Google search of each word.)
Although, I do like the second definition as it speaks to the idea of a surrendered strength. However, it only scratches the surface of just what a surrendered strength is and can be.
So then, what is a Surrendered Strength?
Simply put, using your strength for a purpose bigger than yourself.
Strength alone can be powerful and useful in our lives, and I am all for it as you can probably tell from previous post.
So, now you are strong, in your own right, what are you doing with your strength?
Are you using your strength to bully family, friends, or co-workers?
Are you using it to appeal to someone or some idea you’ve bought into?
Or, are you using it to help your family, friends, or anyone else you may come in contact with?
This is Surrendered Strength. It is more than just being strong, in any capacity, it’s being strong to build up those around you.
To give your strength to others, abundantly and joyfully.
Maybe, you are beginning your strength journey.
Maybe, you have been on and off the journey because you haven’t had the drive to stay committed.
Maybe, you have been on the journey for years but have found it unfulfilling.
To a higher calling than just being strong.
On a journey of a strong, abundant, joyful and purposeful life.
